
I am remodeling my exterior walls are basement.The current 2x2 block and nailed to Covered With sheetrock.I plan to add a 2x4 'bumpout' Against the old 2x2 exterior walls Along The Entire That Will Be 36 "IS high.The problem if I The Electrical wires do this in the the old stables Will not Meet regulation of <= 6 "and <= 3" extending Beyond the box.Can I abandoned The Old 15a electrical circuit (disconnect) and run a new circuit and though The New bumpout boxes I Will not install or can i run-through electrical circuitry has sided wall?

As long as you plan to abandon the old, go ahead and wire up the new. Its fine.
