We are planning an adition and I have purchased several books on home remodeling/planning.Although this one is only 186 pages, it is well written with many great sketches and photos. I bought this book when I was rebuilding a back porch that had completely deteriorated because it wasn't built right in the first place, and I didn't want to make the same (or other) mistakes.I have a construction background in drywall, but not much in carpentry.Very helpful book.I'm a big fan of the For Pros by Pros series, since they always have so much information about the Why behind the good, and many times advanced, techniques that can help the beginner do a great job.
