My daughter got this for Christmas this year. She loves having her own tent. She was always making tents with blankets and the kitchen chairs, and I saw this and knew she'd love it.She loves "camping" with all her stuffed animals! The tent seems very durable, and I have not had a problem with it falling off the bed.Although it is supposed to fit the bed like a fitted sheet, the elastic ends dont seem to be "tight" enough. However the tent poles keep it in place. She's had it on her bed since Christmas night, and it has not shifted at all.I especially like the screened "windows" on the doors of the tent. That way I dont have to unzip it to check on her at night, I can just look thru the windows. I have bought bed tents in the past but they were usually the ones that sell for about $15 and those are the ones you do not want to waste your money on. Spend more and you'll get your money's worth, on this product anyway. My 7 year old absolutely loves it!! She is so happy with how it is like a fitted sheet on the bottom so it will not slide off her bed like the others in the past have. She loves the little windows, and the pockets inside for her books and flashlight. She is happy and I am happy to know I did not spend almost $50 on a bed tent for it to be junk. It seems to be very sturdy and it has so much space it it as well. Also, I ordered this on April 12, and recieved it on the 13th! My expected delivery date on it was the 19th. I never expected such a fast delivery! That is why I order from Amazon.com more than any other site! What more could you ask for in a site! Thank you so much Amazon for such great service, fast delivery and free shipping!! You are the Best! Posted on February 13, 2011 Cleora Virgen says... Got this for our daughter. She loves it. Zipping it up gives her a sense of safety and privacy. It gets hot at night, like a little oven. Posted on February 14, 2011 Chin Waygood says... My 4 year old just loved it!It is her own special place.I love it because it doesn't slide off the bed.The poles are made just like tent poles. They are very durable. They are not hollow like the others that use pvc. They wanted me to rate the educational value, I put 5 stars since imagination is important too.I would recommend this for any little girl. It was pretty easy to put together I did it by myself but the instructions were not very good. The picture on-line (and on the box) shows a zipper on the front but the one I received actually has velcro.May not seem like that big of a deal but I have a four year old with autism that likes to be in an enclosed bed. We odered the Nickel Bed Tent but it is still on back order. We got this because she was still in a crib and was able to get out of the crib tent so a regular bed was a much shorter jump ;-) We thaught this would hold us over until the other tent arived. With it just being velcro we will see how secure she feels tonight when I tell her it is time to go to bed. IT goes up for every sleep over and is a big hit with all my daughters friends. It goes great on the aerobed in the living room. A little thin but not a single tear and boy has it been used!!! Def get! we have it for the full size bed. Posted on February 14, 2011 Danilo Mather says... My daughter loves this tent. She was trying to use a small, foldable tent on her bed and hardly had any room to sleep...she ended up tangled up in it during the night. This tent is full-sized, and I can barely keep her out of it.Plus, she thinks it's "pretty, and not babyish." It's very well made and extremely durable. The manufacturer recomends just spot cleaning, but I've even washed it in the washing machine without any trouble. We've taken it on vacation twice. It's very easy to assemble and take apart. My 2 y/o loves it!!! We bought it for her after she learned to climb out of her crib, after she fell out of a toddler bed. We just put a twin mattress w/the tent on it on the floor. It's a great way to transition to a bed. Posted on February 16, 2011 Barrie Duggan says... I had a very similar tent when I was a child. I got it for christmas when I was 7 or 8. I was the most fun thing I owned. I played in it and slept in it all the time. I just used a sleeping bag, since sheets don't fit with it. I am 29 now and still remember the bed tent as my most favorite christmas gift I ever recieved. I plan on buying one for each of my 3 daughters and hope they have the same fun with theirs as I did with mine. Posted on February 16, 2011 Ronni Gorglione says... Our 5-year old daughter loves this castle tent! Mom and Dad have a few hesitations.Putting the tent together was simple and it fits snuggly over the bed much like a fitted sheet - therein lies the problem. Because it DOES fit like a sheet, there is no way to put a real fitted sheet on the bottom of the tent, which means unless you just lay a sheet on the bottom (which slides around easily), your child sleeps on plastic - a bit hot.If you decide to take it down, you really need to take it apart to store it.Having said that - it looks cute and flaps are easy to roll up and tie in place. Our daughter really views it as her secret escape and doesn't mind being left alone to sleep.
