thats how fiberglass works, its doesnt trap moisture bc there is no vapor barrier

That's an awfully flimsy explanation. Do you have any sources? Paper traps moisture, and it has no vapor barrier... Same with drywall. And as a contractor, I've seen plenty of disgusting, rotted fiberglass. Even as a renter- the place I'm renting now is filled with rotting fiberglass that's dripping from the ceiling of the basement.

Some limited degree of vapor permeability lets them insulate and breath. This insulation looks like a fiberglass one, which can be susceptible to other issues of fiberglass against basement walls if moisture comes in, unlike, say, putting the pink Owens foam directly against the foundation wall as a basement insulation approach.
My main problem with this finishing system is it looks terrible, much like suspended drop ceilings. No denying you're in a basement when you look at those walls.

instead of some blowhard marketing video, why didn't they show real 'before' and 'after' of real basements (instead of the 'studio' make believe basement).

fiberglass insulation breathes and insulates at the same time.

Most experts will tell you it is a good idea to "float" the walls you install from the basement walls. I have never seen or hear of anyone advocate anchoring directly to the basement wall.

Mold only can grow on paper and wood and organic substances. There are none of these in the Owens Corning system. I also LOVE it....everyone talks about it being expensive, but I think it was worth EVERY PENNY.....the Lifetime warranty also guarantees that I'll never have to pay to finish my basement again!! It looks great, much better than moldy drywall. I actually had a flood this winter, but you'd never know it by being in my basement....VERY happy!!!
