What you have to decide is more important than money. You have to decide which house you would rather have. You have to remember that you have to live in this house, they don't. It might be a little more to go with a builder locally that will actually go to an architect, but if it is the house that you really want, wouldn't it be more than worth the money? You can figure out though that it will cost, considering your area, about $85-$115 per sq ft to build this house, depending on the materialthat you choose as well as the reputation that the contractor has and the builders they choose.
