This is a good way for a home inspector to get sued. If you try and use a home inspection report to verify the condition of your property when you apply for a home owners policy, you are putting the inspector in a very vulnerable position. In most cases if the inspector new you were going to do this, they would not perform the inspection, especially in a lawsuit State like Illinois.
