I think Matt is a very cool guy and probably has a great relationship with all his collegues and had invited Vanessa back even though she's no longer with Google (although I can't believe someone would quit a job with Google) but she seemed very knowledgeable. She did seem to distinguish the fact she's independent in her speech, mannerisms and seating posture.
